Happy Holi. Spring in India.

When you happen to arrive in the promised land of the cultural shock the night before Holi, you will find yourself soon enough soaked in paint, made of pigment powder and water, thrown at you by at least one billion happy people.

I can definitely strongly recommend to read the Wikipedia article on cultural shock, not only coz it describes the five stages of cultural shock but also coz it chooses Indian students arriving in Dresden – back than GDR – in 1951 to illustrate this phenomenon. Very funny.
